You can help the Ballet with a variety of activities. Volunteers contribute thousands of hours of assistance every year and provides vital services to support our School and Company.  In addition to helping the organization accomplish its goals, it’s also gives you a chance to learn more about the exciting world of ballet, and have a lot of fun!

As a volunteer you can participate in a number of activities such as:

• Administrative support – Assist with clerical, public relations, and outreach work at the the NSB and NYB offices.

• Nutcracker – The busiest time of year for volunteer members is during Nutcracker season. About 25 volunteers are needed for each performance.

• Assist front of House with tickets sales, ushering, staff the ballet shop and concessions.

• Assist backstage with costuming, make-up and room monitoring.

• Special Projects – Help the Ballet staff with special events such as receptions, programs, student and faculty showcases, community events, auditions, and fundraisers.

To become a VOLUNTEER, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old

• Volunteer a minimum of 10 hours per year

• Be enthusiastic!
