NSB Dress Code
Summer Programs 2025

All students must follow the required dress code below, both at the studio and at home during virtual learning, if necessary. We believe that adding the opportunity for students to self-identify their gender helps us to better understand and serve our student population.

No additional attire, accessories, or jewelry should be worn in class or on stage. Dancers with long hair should have their hair tied neatly back in a bun. If hair is short, it should not hang in the face. No leg warmers or other warm-up gear are permitted.

Leotard Dress Code for Favorite Fairytales and Young Dancers Program:

  • Pink Leather Ballet Slippers (Capezio or Bloch) * Students should choose the color which is closest to their natural skin tone. If Capezio or Bloch does not have natural skin tone colors for dancers in stock, other options are permitted.

  • Child Size Leotard: Black Nikolay "Little Christal" Camisole Leotard (#DAD1001MPN)

  • Adult Size Leotard: Black Nikolay "Christal" Camisole Leotard(#DA1001MPN) 

  • Pink Body Wrappers Tights (#C80) or Pink Euroskins Tights (#219C) *If the maker do not have natural skin tone colors in stock, students should choose the make and color which is closest to their natural skin tone.

  • Black Bullet-Pointe Skirt. Purchased at NSB for $30.00

  • No leg warmer or other warm-up gear are permitted.
