Program Details:
-
Inclusive Ballet Education: Our curriculum is tailored to support students with adaptive needs, ensuring that every dancer can thrive in a nurturing, inspiring, and inclusive environment.
-
Expert Support: Classes are led by experienced instructors supported by student mentors from the NSB Conservatory. There will be scheduled visits from occupational therapists and physical therapists as well. Learn more about Lead Instructor, Amanda Walker, and assistant instructor, Molly Tomeny, here.
-
Holistic Approach: Emphasis on the joy of movement and music, providing a foundational understanding of ballet technique, and exploring classical music and performance art. Our goal is that the body, mind, and spirit of each child is nurtured while teaching the art of ballet.
-
Exposure to the Theater: Each semester students will have the opportunity to visit the theater, gaining valuable insight into a performance experience. The field trip includes a tour backstage and a chance to watch a dress rehearsal of the performance.

We invite dancers and their families to join us in this inaugural program to build a vibrant community of ballet enthusiasts. In addition to studying ballet; the program fosters a love for the art form and creates lasting connections among dancers and their families. For more information and to enroll, please contact Caroline Jewell, NSB’s Educational & Business Administrator, at northeastschoolofballet@gmail.com.
